The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for leading the company's financial operations, providing strategic guidance, and ensuring long-term financial health. This role requires a strong focus on driving operational efficiency, improving accounts receivable collectability, and executing all financial strategies with accountability and performance measurement. As a key member of the executive team, the CFO collaborates closely with the Owner/CEO and senior leaders to develop and implement strategic initiatives. The CFO oversees the PREO, Accounting, Revenue, and Account Care departments and ensures detailed accountability for financial performance, including receivables management.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop, implement, and continuously refine the company’s financial strategy aligned with short- and long-term objectives.
- Provide insightful financial analysis and guidance to the CEO, Board, and executive team for strategic decision-making.
- Oversee initiatives to improve cash flow and receivable collectability, establishing clear targets and accountability measures for collection efforts.
- Monitor industry trends and economic changes, recommending strategic adjustments or growth opportunities.
- Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to ensure accurate, timely reporting and tracking.
- Analyze financial performance metrics, focusing on receivables collectability, days sales outstanding (DSO), and profitability.
- Develop and implement performance dashboards to measure progress against strategic goals, particularly related to accounts receivable and cash collections.
- Prepare and present financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow projections, and variances against targets.
- Treasury & Capital Management:
- Manage cash flow, debt, and capital structure to optimize resources and reduce financial risks.
- Develop strategies that enhance receivables collection, reduce write-offs, and improve overall cash flow health.
- Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and other investment opportunities.
- Risk Management & Compliance:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks, including receivables risk and fraud prevention.
- Oversee internal controls, audit processes, and compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Maintain relationships with external auditors, regulators, and financial institutions.
- Operational Efficiency & Receivables Management:
- Drive improvements in operational processes, including receivables collection strategies, dispute resolution, and customer follow-up.
- Establish accountability metrics to measure collection efficiency, reduce delinquency, and improve receivables recovery rates.
- Lead efforts in implementing financial systems, CRM integration, and workflows that enhance efficiency and transparency in collections.
- Team Leadership:
- Cultivate a high-performing, accountable finance team.
- Coach and develop managers to ensure the execution of strategy, particularly in receivables management and collection performance.
- Promote collaboration across departments to support financial and operational goals.
Minimum Requirements:
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field;
- MBA or CPA preferred, but not required
Experience:
- 10+ years of progressively responsible financial management, including experience leading collections or receivables strategies.
- Proven track record of developing and executing strategic plans that improve cash flow and operational efficiency.

- Deep knowledge of financial planning, accounting principles, and receivable management.
- Leadership skills with a focus on accountability, team development, and performance measurement.
