Job Summary: 

The Communications & Brand Specialist will work cross-departmentally to execute communication initiatives, projects, and programs. This role will play an active part in the planning, development, and execution of employee facing communications for Lexicon and its legacy clientele.   

Responsibilities: 

  • Works as a liaison and spokesperson for Lexicon’s Executive Leadership Team (ELT), providing collaborative guidance and advice on integrated communications strategies that build morale, productivity, retention, and policy compliance.  
  • Manages content for internal employee communications, providing engaging features across multiple mediums.  
  • Communicates initiatives and deadlines to employees in a variety of print, digital, and interpersonal ways; tasks may include creating and publishing newsletters, hosting meetings, and designing and delivering intranet posts.  
  • Works continuously to ensure communications are appropriate, transparent, and engaging.   
  • Serves as a member of the Engagement Committee, working with the cross-departmental committee to lead communication efforts.  
  • Manages and executes monthly leadership and company-wide meeting series for Lexicon Services.  
  • Continually improves, measures, and evaluates the effectiveness of employee communication strategies and methods on improving collaboration and how the organization communicates with employees.  
  • Oversees and manages the content of the company’s intranet. Ensuring a regular content rotation that promotes transparency around the organization.   
  • Maintains a knowledge of industry-relevant trends, developments and best practices in employee retention, morale, recognition, productivity, incentives, and communications.  

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Required Education:  
    • Bachelor’s degree in related field.  
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 
    • 3+ years of experience in HR Communications, Journalism, Mass Communications, Public Relations, Employer Branding, or related field.  
  • Other Requirements (Knowledge, Skill, Ability, and Licensure(s)): 
    • Previous experience working with the C-Suite on internal communications.
    • Previous experience with external messaging is a plus, but not required.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.  
    • Excellent project management skills.  
    • Comfortable with researching, reviewing, and learning new techniques and skills. 
    • Advanced understanding of messaging differences to promote an employer brand while creating consistency with an overall corporate brand.   
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. 
    • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
