Job Summary:
The Project Manager - Marketing plays a key role in driving the successful execution of marketing initiatives for a national family law firm. This position oversees creative media production, service-promotion campaigns, hiring campaigns, digital content projects, and cross-department marketing efforts that support brand growth, lead generation, and recruiting.
The ideal candidate is an organized, detail-oriented project leader who can manage multiple concurrent initiatives, coordinate creative resources, and bring structure to a fast-paced marketing environment. Experience with legal, professional services, or multi-office organizations is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Project Management & Planning
- Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle for marketing initiatives including service-promotion campaigns, video and digital media production, hiring campaigns, social media content series, and seasonal campaigns.
- Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource plans while ensuring alignment with firm priorities and brand guidelines.
- Maintain a comprehensive project calendar and ensure all deliverables are produced on time and within scope.
- Organize and lead project kickoffs, check-ins, and post-project reviews.
Creative & Content Coordination
- Collaborate with internal creative teams and external agencies to produce video content, social media assets, paid ads, landing pages, blog content, brochures, and other campaign materials.
- Write or refine project briefs to clearly communicate objectives, audiences, key messages, and success metrics.
- Ensure final deliverables meet brand standards, compliance requirements, and the firm’s tone regarding family law matters (empathetic, trustworthy, professional).
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with attorneys, HR/recruiting, IT, and firm leadership to gather requirements, share updates, and manage approvals.
- Partner with the digital team on SEO, SEM, paid social, and analytics support for campaigns.
- Coordinate with HR/recruiting to develop and execute hiring campaigns for attorneys and staff.
Campaign Execution & Optimization
- Track project progress, monitor campaign performance, and ensure assets support lead generation, client education, and brand positioning.
- Assist with reporting and performance dashboards, identifying insights and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage vendor relationships, including creative agencies, photographers, videographers, and media partners.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Review assets to ensure accuracy, legal appropriateness, and adherence to state bar advertising rules.
- Maintain organized documentation, file naming conventions, and version control.
Minimum Requirements:
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Minimum Years of Experience:
- 3-5 years in marketing project management, or a similar role, preferably in a law firm, agency, or professional services environment.
- Previous experience in managing creative media campaigns and multi-stage content projects from initiation to completion, preferably in the technology or legal industry.
- Ad agency experience a plus but not required.
Other Requirements (Knowledge, Skill, Ability, and Licensure(s)):
- Project Management Professional or related project management certification, preferred
- Experience utilizing project management software like JIRA, preferred
- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Willingness to learn new software applications.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously from start to finish.
